I had a Mercury with black leather seats, and talk about painful! I found bead seat "covers" at Walmart for $10 each and man were they cool! The air go between me and the seat an do more than protect, it also cool! Also great for long road trips. Yes, I know they are used in cabbies, as I was reminded by my Brother, but function over form!
