Any tricks on how to remove the rear half axle bolts on a '95 E300D?

I have the special multi-point tool (10mm) but they are so tight I'm unable to get them out. The shaft is broken so I'm having a hard time keeping the axle from moving while taking the bolts off.

Any tricks/ideas?
