Steve, doyou have a part number for that Gizmo? I have see a picture of a couple of them and one in a portland PNP last July in a 81 240D.
Usually the thing is not there in all the transmissions I have pulled. W123, W124 or W201.

None of the online suppliers show it in their catalogs.

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.
