Why shouldn't I diesel a SEC?
With the recent diesel'ing projects going around got me thinking....
I really like the looks of the w126 coupe and I was bummed the day that I found out that they never came with a diesel.
I've got a good 617 turbo and trans from an '85 SD sitting in the garage
I found a SEC that looks in decent shape for a low price for sale kinda nearby
I've seen a couple for sale here and there but I don't recall ever seeing any project write ups about doing a swap in one of these.
I feel like I have the technical ability and the workshop space to do it.
How feasible is swapping a v8 for a diesel in a w126 coupe?
Anybody want to weigh in with reasons why or why not to try it?
