In the Point Loma area of San Diego (Sandy Eggo?) there's a fairly major street called Rosecrans. I kept wanting to call it Rosencrantz, because Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead, until I read a book of Civil War history and realized the street is named after Major General William Rosecrans. I consider myself fairly well educated, but we can't know it all.
