I had a strong suspicion that that might be the case. Even the noisiest disc brakes have a habit of getting quiet when the wheels stop turning.

You might gauge your rotor for lateral run out. Especially if the noise is rhythmic.

If the noise is constant (when the wheel is in motion) , I would give the pads a little time to wear in before getting too excited.
