Yep. The only way to do it where the computer does not cut boost is to change the wastegate on the turbo to a pressure control instead of a vacuum control thereby bypassing the computer. Plumb the turbo to the intake maniford and install a manual boost pressure control inline from the intake to the turbo, then block off the EGR and/or plug the vacuum line to it.
