I've seen far worse. Except for that chip at the buttstock I'd conserve the wood in such a way as to preserve the other dings. They add character. Personally the more patina these rifles have the better looking I think they are, metal finish imperfections included. One that's been renewed so far that it looks brand new, to me, looks kinda fake. Or something.
