I thought I had the correct 71 cam for this car. A little more cleaning of the back surface before removing from the motor showed that it was an "M" rather than a 71.
I would have expected an L for Links. The other cam has the expected R for Recht.
Is the M a code for an oversized cam journal or something equally clever?
