I assume a single tank system so my suggestion is viscosity. Check for slightly plugged line, slight constriction, filter plugged. Small wear spot in fuel line. One that doesn't leak liquid, but sucks air. I would check vacuum in the line with diesel and WVO blend. I have had each of these happen over the years. The vacuum increase created from the higher viscosity blend would not shut you down, but would restrict flow enough to limit acceleration.
