A desert is only defined by the lack of water, not temperature. There are cold deserts, which include Siberia and Antarctica. The latter has a flowing river, from a unfrozen lake to the ocean, F.Y.I..

In Arizona, the higher elevation desert gets snow. Phoenix Valley is about the lowest in Arizona and only last year did we get snow (I was in class so missed it, so once again this 26 year old has never been in falling snow). Flagstaff is between me and cooljjay and it is always cold. Also, cooljjay is basically in Colorado.

If anyone thinks we don't get rain, come during our monsoon season! We can get a foot of rain in an hour! So I would think that be more a test than an inch every day for weeks on end: not the same G.P.H. rate.
