Thanks for your response MB Doc. Do you have any leads that I could tuck into my roledex on a rebuilt unit with or a used low mileage one for when I really need it? I wont venture inside one of those automatic gearboxes. Too many mysteries, unlike some real gears in a manual!

As many of the internal seals are made from teflon type material, time & mileage will catch-up with them. Sounds like your car is close to that point. Always start off with fresh fluid & filter before spending the big $$$$.
