Amazing work. We don't have the onerous MOT reg's you deal with, and that I see on the Wheeler Dealers show. There are some rules on swapping older engines into newer cars in some states, but as long as you don't sell the car it won't be inspected in CA.

I know little of M-B gas (i.e. petrol) engines, but that DOHC in-line six w/ Jetronic fuel injection you removed looks sweet to this Chrysler slant six owner. I have thought of going the other way if the diesel in one of my 300D's fails again. I have a gas Chrysler small block V-8 and tranny lying around, but the thought of dealing w/ mods to the K-frame, oil pan, engine mounts, and driveshaft is intimidating. I am not a diesel fanatic, and it is more expensive than gas in the U.S. I just hope for cheap bio-diesel someday.
