In the Picture or 2 Factory Made Glow Plug Reamers.

You would need the Short one on the Top and that is the same as is used on the 617.952 Turbo Diesels or the older models that use the Bosch Pencile type Blow Plugs.

The Bit/Reamer End is 7mm
For a while People were saying to use a 7mm Drill Bit turned by hand. But, that is your Choice.

There is also another Design of Glow PLug Reamers that is made all in one piece and the Reamer Bit has only 2 U shaped grooves in it.

Not using Bosch or Beru Glow Plugs can cause early Glow Plug Failure. If the Fuel is not burning when it is supposed to or effeciently in the Pre-combustion Chamber that can shorten the life of the Glow Plugs.

Fuel Injection Pump Timing, Valve Timing, Compression and the Condition of the Injectors have an effect on the Glow Plugs.
Only City Driving tends to build up more Carbon; that is My Car and I always get some Carbon when I ream the Glow Plugs which I pulled out about 2 Weeks ago.

When the Glow Plug is gets Voltage the it pulls high amps for a second or 2 and as it gets hot it settles down to arouns 16 amps. I bleieve that means if the Glow Plug does not get hot as fast it pulls the higher amps longer.
Carbon surrounding the Glow Plug Tip allows heat from the Glow Plug to be conducted into the Cylinder Head keeping the Plug cooler and causing it to pull higher amps for a longer than normal amount of time. That also means the Air in the Pre-chamber is not getting heated as much as it is supposed to per amount of Preglow time.
