That's splitting historical hairs. Other than the bulge and in North Africa we didn't really have any large tank battles with the Germans. On the Eastern front where tank battles of scale actually happened the German and Russian fixed gun tank destroyers were of questionable usage. Heinz Guderian certainly didn't like them and thought efforts should be focused on mass production of good enough tanks, up gunned Panzer 4's. Either way they were all way up gunned very fast, sub 40mm guns were obsolete after 1940. If I remember from my readings tank crews and anti tank gun crews started to have problems with shells penetrating as early as in Poland and the French campaign. That Dodge would have been all but useless against the lightest of armor in North Africa, a better mount than the 37mm would have a been a dual or quad .50.
