I don't think this helps. But when I goto Vegas from here (coast) I go 166 east to 99 north to Arvin. Turn right at a lettuce field, go through town, a little mountain, and pop out 15 miles east of Bakersfield.

Don't forget to check in with mother.
Lucas, however then have to slog through mile after mile of stop lights and traffic. With my Autism, I really should avoid traffic. Besides, the smell of humid and hot Bakersfield brings back found memories, including of the many that have passed.

I am not seeing the 166 east of Bakersfield. I was planning to take the 58 to 99, then to I5, but think folks saying better to take 58 to the I5 instead?

Why check with mother? Which one?

Yep, the only speeding ticket I ever got was rushing back to Mesa and decided to pass two trucks and didn't watch my speed. Got clocked at 86M.P.H., but only ticketed for 83M.P.H.. Now I keep visibility out the back window, not that I would ever speed again.
