Sorry. East of Bakersfield go left on the 223. It will run across 99 or 5. Avoids Bakersfield. Maybe helpful at rush hour. Probably check route times to see if it helps you. Here's the intersection of 58 and 223.

Where are you cuttin over from 99 to 5? Wasco? 99 goes all through the cities. I only use it to get to 223 south of Bakersfield. And don't head into sac at rush hour. And def not on the 99. And keep your doors locked going through there. After sac is good.

I realize now, sac is Sacramento.
