Sorry, another vote for the Dyson. DC14 Animal here. Not possible to clog, believe me, I have sucked up a ton of drywall dust and all manner of home improvement debris and it never misses a beat.
The only thing I don't like about it is the accessory hose retracts on its own when you're using it and it pulls the vacuum across the floor toward you due to the high suction.
