over 40mpg is not possible in a 190d. Even my 2013 VW tdi only averaged 42-45 max in normal driving, and that was with a manual trans, much more efficient engine, and more aerodynamic car.

I've seen as low as 22-24mpg in my 190d 2.2 this winter when driving in the ultra cold/stop and go horrible conditions we've been having.

Can't complain as my c240 wagon gets about 16 in those conditions and my 420 would probably get about 10
