My bad for not posting this sooner.
Clarification. I am currently only selling the spring. My marketing strategy did not antcipated rifling through so many OFVs.
When I sell an item, I send an invoice to the customer. That protectes everyone in the transaction. The invoice has the following language:
"Overflow Valve Spring - Mercedes-Benz, application OM617.9XX Engine or similar application. The OFV spring is designed to correctly increase PSI and resulting fueling with power / performance increase. Buyer should either re-use the aluminum washers - sealer rings from fuel line or install new washers per FSM to avoid leaks. OFV spring is simple to assemble / install. Install should take approximately 5 minutes in OM617 applications. The Buyer must have a rebuildable OFV (not staked in the corners)."
The line item says:
"Overflow Valve Spring"
So, to clarify, I am only selling the spring. The buyer will need to rebuild his or her's OFV. The OFV needs to be the rebuildable type, i.d., not the type staked in the corners. I added the bold to this post (it's not bolded on the invoice).
Hope that clears up any confusion. When I get more OFVs, I can sell the entire component, but the price is $40 shipped CONUS whereas just the spring is $35.00 shipped CONUS.
