I have a cool setup that digitally measures the RPM on OM617 engines via the tach amp socket or diagnostic port socket using an adapter I built and an inductive timing light. It is very useful to measure the cranking RPM of your engine as well as calibrating the analog tach in your cluster. As long as you have a tach amp or a diagnostic port socket located on driver's wheel well, my setup will work. Here's a short youtube clip on the setup https://youtu.be/-NiskElWi3U
