That is what is making me concerned. If it was just as simple as lubricate, warm engine, and limit the torque, I would be willing to try. But the tales I have read of them snapping off at very low torques has me scared to even put a wrench on it.
Also I have read that GP failure on these engines is bad while running, which is not like the older IDIs. CDIs use the plugs during the drive cycle for DPF regen and having a failed GP can cause accelerated carbon buildup in that cylinder.
