Some times they come out. Sometimes they are stuck, I asked a diesel mechanic and he said when they are struck it is usually really hard to get them to give it up, he has broken at least two valve covers trying to do this. Happens on the sprinter engine also.

I was going to buy a used E320 CDI cheap $6500 last year they were told by the Mercedes dealer they needed new injectors That is when I inquired. But lack of fund and this idea scared me away. And It was black just like mine, and I do not need another black car in south Florida.

I am going to try to check mine with the gas leak tester from home depot. It sounds like a good idea!
