Let's say you have two fairly high mileage cars (we'll say 200k miles), identical in all respects, except for the SBC. Both had the recalls done so both SBC's were reprogrammed. But in once case the SBC unit was recently replaced in the other it has not been replaced. To me that translates into a significant value difference. In the first case, my working assumption is that I will never have to replace the SBC unit; in the second case, I assume that I could have to replace it any time.

Also, my guess would be that most sellers are only going to be marginally aware of the issue....in their minds, the brakes work just fine and always have.

It would be interesting to know, when the units were reprogrammed, what the new limit is. Originally I think it was 300,000 pushes of the pedal.
