Thanks, that is good to know, and I apologize for the embarrassing questions.
I guess I would have had a chance to figure that out if I was able to open the hood all the way instead of just trying to squeeze my head underneath.
For removing the pins, I am guessing I just need to remove the circlips from the inner side of the hood, and then the pins should come out with ease?
I found this picture, it helps knowing what the parts holding them in actually look like.
