As the service manual calls them..The Lower cover..the part where the oil filter screws on to...And the intermediate plate come of after removing the 9 bolts..
The lower cover (I call it the small valve body) and the plate come off together as they are bolted together on the back side of the plate..
Here is the center of the trans..Sometimes you feel a bit nervous with it all open like this..But the manual is a very accurate one and you just follow it step by step..And it doesn't let you down..
