Basically there is really no way to confirm actual mileage on the car. They just ask for the VIN # and the engine # to make sure the original engine is still in the car. Take it from me, I've applied for alot of my cars! As of now, my 450SL and my 300SD have the 250,000Km badges and my 6.9 and 240D (which I have since sold) both had the 250Km badges on them. I acquired three lapel pins and a certificate for each car in addition to the badges. I am hoping to at least hang the 500,000Km badge on my 300SD before I retire it.
