Could you clarify your comment regarding the trim below the front bumper. By trim, do you mean the thin body panel that is about the height of the license plate? Every early photo I can find of a w123 has that narrow panel the same color as the rest of the car.

I think you are right about the re-paint because of that overspray on the tow hook, but I just wanted to understand part of your reasoning better. Thanks.
