Well the blancer is on! About all I have the energy for
Talk about a pain! I think there was a mercedes god watching over me...The holes for the pins lined up beautifully!!!! But as you can see they are a bit ovaled. Of course tapping the blancer back on took awhile...
Getting the pins on also took awhile...using needle nose pliers to try and hold the pins isn't a great idea but I lack tiny tiny fingers. Once lined up, finding a hammer that will work to drive them in is also fun.....I was concerned that they were to long as the ones squiggledog used...but they went it all the way...The hammer smashed the little that was sticking out, I then used the dremel to even out the tops for piece of mine....I was concerned that the balancer wouldn't go flat with the crank, then after I looked at photos pre pulling...I seen there is a lip...
Next came the torque, lord I thought I would snap the bolt! I tightened, and then checked torque, got the click wrench which goes up to 202nm and when that stopped I went a little more, then when the dial torque said 250, I did one more pull, got it to say 300..and did one final pull...figured even with the crappy torque wrench that is enough give or take...FSM says only needs to be in the range of 270-330nm...
All looks good....but I suppose time will tell....I can just really see how this nut can back out and cause trouble, just by using the standard 1/2 ratchet it seemed like the bolt was extremely tight...moving to the pole and wrench it seem barely tight..
