Yea those kits look mighty nice, that's probably what I will do eventually. I couldn't find one for under $350 though and I didn't see a throwout bearing in the pic. Still pondering if I want to use the 8.5" setup to "test the water" so to speak or return it to the yard and use the sprinter kit from the start. I'm thinking this spring to do the swap, assuming I can find a rear driveshaft and output flange by then. Somehow an ac bracket broke and I think my precious r12 leaked out a few months back, so if I was to do the swap I certainly want to do it before fixing the ac. Lots to consider, I may post later with questions or seeking opinions. Thanks to tjts and others for the information, without it I would be lost.
