Special tool for removing glow plug wire 1995 E300D?
The 1995 E300D uses a unique glow plug with a connector containing a wire clip that locks the cap onto the detent in the glow plug. The '96-97 (W210) E300D uses a very similar glow plug without the detent so the cap easily pulls off.
I've had problems removing the connector from the glow plugs on the '95 because of that wire clip. There's no way I can get in there without some kind of special tool to depress the clip. Pulling hard just breaks the connector. I'm almost at the point of changing to the 1996-style connectors and glow plugs.
Is there a special tool I just haven't heard of?
