I did use lock washers....If you look back a few pages I included the part number but the bolt number is wrong...Some odd reason we're not able to edit older posts

On the fsm...It says that the lock washers weren't used after 1979, but I ordered them and thought what the heck? I also didn't use lock tight as the FSM didn't state that nor did the old ones have it on there.

It really would be more time consuming to remove and replace the bar. What I have heard it really isn't worth it...What you would need to do is remove the booster, all hvac stuff and anything else above the bar...you have to be able to lift the bar up in order to work it out of the fender...

Just renewing all the rubber and UCA's really brings back the purpose of the torsion bar. All that rubber just degrades after all these years...
