yes here a lot of people like to debadge their cars as s500 or å430. and a lot of people would prefer to have W210 E200 instead of W124 E320 or 420 and this is in most cases not because of the fuel economy-fuel is cheap, but just because it is newer shape and looks more expensive. When i was buying my W124 E320 auto from a guy with 106K km on the clockand made in Nov 94, the guy paid extra 8 thousand $ to get W210 E230 that is just 4 month newer (march 95) and had manual tranny and higher mileage!!!!!!

it is true we have a lot of mercs here id say much more than in any other city of europe ( cant compre to US, never been there), lots of brabus, amg and lorinser cars ( not a single renntech though). The favourite merc here is G-classe. But most people do not like to mod their cars especially lowering because of snowy winters and bad roads. And you do meet some cars wich are not lowered but lifted, and it looks really weird and makes me sick
