i have changed the filter on this transmission twice because it was not going into any gear when i purchased it. but it now will drive pretty good as long as i don't shut it off! if i do i have to wait about 10 or 12 minutes before it will go into gear again, drive or reverse! i was told it is probably the valve body. can this part be just cleaned and replaced with a new gasket. i have seen how intricate it is but i have been working on cars for over 30 years but not mercedes. thanks in advance for any info. p.s. i have read the numerous post on this subject but am unclear about the process for cleaning the valve body without a kit.
