Jim, I had thought about that. I think in a couple years the 221's will drop quite a bit but I also think that availability of used parts is pretty good now on the 220 from being out since 2000. Plus a 2006 w220 represents a 6 year run of the car, so I would imagine by then most of the bugs would have been worked out but not sure.... It looks like one could buy a very descent late w220 for around $10k where as a similar mileage/condition w221 is $20k+. I feel like a nice w220 could serve me well for 5 years and then I'll switch to a $10k W221.
