annulars are great as you don't have to screw with the diff or take the cover off.
just and FYI, if the axle is siezing, they can be a real bear to remove. This is more of an issue with the homokinetic variant which requires some serious flex to pop out of the diff and hub.
Ive had to cut a seized axle in half to remove it after one of the ball bearings distintigrated and parts welded to other parts on the highway. Could not be removed one piece.
