So I understand. Because I have "annular" axles I don't need to take the plate off the back of the diff to remove the axle? That sound like a plus.
However seeing as I'll be "in there" anyway, would it not make sense to do that anyway and check that there is no problem in the diff? There's quite a bit of seepage around that plate and I'm thinking that the seal should be re-done.
Also might be a good idea to replace that rubber diff mount while I'm at it as it seems to be quite worn.
