Thanks Panda and Mach4. Panda, I have seen that link and it is pretty informative. It may come down to that. I did some seat repair on my 300td so I understand roughly what's entailed. But on these R107 seats it seems almost everything is shot. Frames, horsehair pads, and upholstery. So the idea of finding a matching pair that would bolt in seems really attractive. Its just that I have always had an easy time finding w123 parts at the local junkyard. I usually have several to pick from. Not so much with R107s.

Mach4 thanks for your response. By the way I love that car! I have seen it on the internet before. That conversion is stellar. If I had a little more savvy, time, and space I would love to try something like that. I am first and foremost a diesel lover. Sweet ride.
