he said its actually stock from the factory. the story is that mercedes made a few really odd cars, maybe for demo or who knows what, and they would give them to their high up corporate people as bonuses. he said this car was given away to some high up merc guy and way down the line he bought it.

he also said it started life as a sedan and the mercedes guys chopped it up and fit the back.
