To those that were lucky enough to attend the Washington DC Trans-Am and CART race last year were told that this would be the first of a multi-year contract. Word came out last night that this years race has been cancelled due to some obligations not met by the DC Grand Prix Association.....namely monetary. No more was told as the negotiations are kept private and they hope to have the races continue in 2004, although maybe with another organization or supporter. The new course set by the Redskins stadium was great for a street course and the first for DC.
