I have to wonder if there is still somewhat of an employee bias against women in many countries. There really still is I believe but Canada seems to have perhaps reduced it to some extent hopefully.

I have always encouraged equailty of the genders. Having a wife and four daughters and being estrogen swamped I guess there was little choice.

All our four daughters do pretty well. Yet there was a time one was blocked by an owner from their upper management.

The owners hidebound policy was just no females in upper management. Even though the owner was an absentee owner. He must have known our daughter was essentially running the company for all practical purposes. Plus designing and implementing major changes that were really beneficial. If not earth shattering at the time.

It really pissed me off at that time. Some of us guys are just not too bright.
