The 616 in the car has pencil GP's. As I pulled and tested, and reamed the GP hole last fall. Had one pre-chamber out, but did not know enough about it to tell if it was rounded or not. What is the other style of Pre-chamber?(The 1980 300TD-NA has what I would call rounded end Pre-chambers)
Guess I am leaning towards a post 1980 IP, and if it delivers more fuel, I will enjoy the extra 5 HP.

See the pic. Does your Fuel Injection Pump look like the one in the pic. Notice the Nut curcled in yellow and the yellow arrow pointing to the Hex on the Delivery Valve Holder. If it looks like that you have an MW type fuel Injection pump.
Concerning the Glow Plugs did you use a 12mm Wrench or socket to remove them or did you need a 13/16" wrench or socket to remove them?
