Reason i'm wondering, is that i have a whole other tranny, from an 84 wagon, so if it requires removal of the tranny and major work beyond my skill set, putting in the other tranny would be the way to go.
If it is something that can be done working thru the oil pan area, it would make sense to look all that up, and any links to that info would be useful.

See post #10, second section. If both are 722.3, or both are 722.4, then a direct swap.
