If this is an Engine with an Aluminum Cylinder head it is not uncommon for the head of the Glow Plugs to snap off. I would look in the Repair Links for some methods to decrease the chance of that happening.

Thats only an issue with the OM606 turbo and non turbo series since they use a long glow plug which has a track record of getting stuck.
For removing the injection line from the injector a standard wrench will work for you if you do not want to front the cash for a crows foot or have hydraulic line wrenches which can also work
