Ahh yes, the old "Moto Guzzi Smoothie". They were THE choice for serious touring back in the '70's and '80's. Haven't seen one in quite a while.
Their main fault was the same which limited the Ducati and BMW motorcycles. Lack of any type of local parts replacements. A buddy of mine had to hole up in some piss-spot town in Washington waiting on a part for over a week. He never lost his love for the bike though. Never sold it. Ended up willing it to his grandson.
