Palo Dura is a place I think I want to see. I haven't been back that way since I learned of its existence. What is your impression? Is it good for a drive-through or a place to stay for a while?

I liked the German influence in Fredricksburg in the hill country. Been a while, I was there in the early 90s. Biergartens, bakeries, and stories of settlers and training Luftwaffe pilots.
