Both new blower motors were purchased aftermarket (OEM). Dealer is about twice the cost.
We've researched with other aftermarket suppliers and they all say that although the picture shows that the spacer comes with the blower, it actually does not come included.
Our local MB dealer states that they do not know anything about the blower motor being smaller the the older models, nor they know anything about the bulletin.
Through on-line research I was able to get the bulletin that explains the change on the blower design. This was thanks to another dealer, but they said that they do not have one in stock and could not check if the piece comes included with the blower.

Seems like there is no MB part numbers for that adaptor piece.
It is looking like I am going to have to fabricate the spacer piece out of Derlin material and see how it goes......
