Check boost pressure before adjusting it! Sometimes tweaking the ALDA does nothing. My engine produces ~9psi, but with the wastegate hose pinched off it produces ~15psi. However there is NO power gain with the extra boost. I left it at 9psi, since there was no point in adjusting it. If you saw no gain with the ALDA adjust, turn it back to where it was or your MPG may plummet.
Next item is to drive it like you stole it for a few thousand miles, and also have the valves adjusted if you haven't already. It may take a while for the full power to come back. My '84 took a good 5kmi+ before it started running very strong (it was driven too lightly by the PO).
Oh, btw - I think factory spec for your car 0-60 is roughly 14-15 seconds, so you're not going to get it much faster anyway! If you live at high elevation (above ~2500ft) then 18 seconds could be the best it will ever do...
