I'd counter that a 11.5 V plug would damage the system and would like to know specifically what is damaged. Higher input voltage = higher resistance and lower current draw.

I do see it throwing a code thinking a plug is burned out / longer pre glow times / no start in cold weather.

Also, why wouldn't all cars have the ISS? ( System cost, existing Bosch contract ? )
