I have had a lot of success dyeing MB Tex and leather with the products from Color Plus in Milford PA. The dyes are offered in both standard MBZ colors or custom mix. The dyes are water based and can be applied using either a spray gun or a soft bristle brush (no brush marks). The dyes are very durable. There are limitations when trying to cover a darker color with a lighter color. One additional product is required when dyeing MB Tex and that is adhesion promoter from World Upholstery Products in Santa Paula, Ca. The adhesion
promoter looks like milk and is applied using a microfiber towel just before applying the
dye. As you have already stated the key to a successful job is the, prep work ensuring the cleaniness of the MB Tex . Color Plus sells a citrus based cleaner. The vinyl, can also be lightly sanded with a 400 paper to aid in the cleaning, Color Plus hasa great web site .
